Words

As I think of something to say each and everyday. The words of my heart flow out into the world. Or the World Wide Web as we all have came to call it. Just point and click and cut and paste the words of your soul into the vast world of technology. Share your deepest desires and emotions within seconds of a click of a mouse. Share your thoughts and feelings with anyone in the world. And let them know who you are inside. Give them your heart and your soul and let them decide what to do with it. Leave it in the hands of fate to decide what path you will take. What journey you will go on through the words that you type. I have come to realize that poetry doesn’t always have to rhyme. Poetry can be what you are feeling at the time or maybe what is on your mind. There is no certain length. And your poem does not have to show strength. It does not matter who you are, or how long that you may live. Just Remember that your words is the gift that you give.

Girl do you know how I feel

Girl do you know how I feel.
My love for you is real.
Don’t run and hide stay here by my side
And keep me company. Girl you know,
How I feel about you, never ever leave me
Never ever go away. Oh girl my love is so true,
And I am always thinking of you. Please stay with me
For eternity. Girl, I love you. Forever and more, girl
You are the sunshine of my life and I want you for my
Lover and my wife. Please stay with me forever in my arms
You have the beauty and all your charms. Please stay with me
For eternity. Girl I love you forever and more…….

Have you ever wondered?

Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue?
Have you ever wondered why we have one left and one right shoe? Have you ever wondered who invented the canoe?
Have you ever wondered about a girl named sue?
Have you ever wondered why a love is true?
Have you ever wondered why when you’re sad they call it blue?
Have you ever wondered why I love you?
Have you ever wondered?

Snowflakes

Snowflakes are like tiny little stars that fall down from the heaven to glisten our yards.
When we were kids we would catch them on our tongues.
And the first sign of them we all knew winter had begun.
Snowflakes are small and so unique you can’t find two them same
No matter how much you seek. As I look out my window and watch them fall down
Have you ever happened to notice there is nobody walking around.
When they arrive we all think they are nice.
Because, they turn our yard into a winter paradise.
Snowflakes are small and hard to see but they can make
It hard to travel from point A to point B.

SNOW DAYS

Yet another day that school is out. I sit around and listen to my kids scream and shout. They are happy because they can go outside and play. Yes, school was called off another day. I put some more coffee on, for me and my wife. It’s going to be a long day. But hey that is part of life.

If it keeps on snowing like it is today the kids won’t go back to school until next Monday.
Looks like the weather man is saying more snow again. Lord, what away for 2010 to begin.
I shovel and shovel and there seems like no end. I’ll wake up in the morning and I will have to start all over again. Over four feet of snow so far this year and this is just the beginning of winter my dear. It’s hard on the old folks and it is hard on my back I hate to complain and sound like a sap. This winter is colder as a matter of fact.

But, this bad winter will toughen our skin. But at the same time it will bring us closer to our kin. And we hope and we pray everyday that cabin fever doesn’t set in. It’s hard when you’re young and nothing to do. You know when it’s to cold outside after a minute or two when you start to notice your skin color changing to blue. So when it’s to cold outside then what do you do?

You pour the kids some hot chocolate and put on a big pot of stew. Maybe tell them a story or maybe two. Maybe tell them story about when you were a kid. Maybe there was something special your Mother or Father did. Just remember those special times when someone you knew maybe an aunt or an uncle or somebody close to you. And remember what they did to entertain you.

You need to cherish all these moments you can with your kids. And tell them you love them and share hugs kisses and grins. One day you will grow old. And it will be just you and your wife. All the kids are now gone they have started their own life. Now they will have kids and snow days as well. And maybe if you are lucky something will ring a bell. When, your grand kids are stuck in the house with nothing to do. Maybe, your kids will now know. And remember what to do………..

The Gift Of West Virginia

As I sit watching the snow fall gently across the yard. And watching the birds feed on that little bit of bread crumbs I put out for them this morning. I think back

To when I was a young boy and couldn’t wait to go outside and play. And now as each day goes by I wonder how the time will change me even more. Every gray hair and gray whisker that sets in. reminds me of how we let the time slip by not enjoying the things we use to. And wondering what to do because we have nothing to entertain us. What’s on television, what’s online, what trip to take, where to go, what to do. I remember when I was young I could spend hours just playing with dirt and completely happy and free of all worry. Of course I never really understood anything about the world at that point of time in my life. I know now that if you want something in life you have put forth a hell of a lot of effort sometimes to get what you desire in life. But we go through life pushing and shoving to get to here and there. We are always in a hurry! People complain of how they hate this town. But I can tell you those people never take the time to actually stop and smell the flowers, watch the birds, or take a hike through the beautiful country we have in our backyard. What ever happened to helping your neighbors out when the wind blows a trash can over into the street and someone runs over it with their car because they don’t have the time to stop and set it up out of the road. There are few people that have realized what we have in this beautiful valley of National Forest. People would pay lots of money to have what we have or live where we live. And we take it for granted each and everyday of our lives. I look around and see a gift from God shining down on us everyday. When I look out the window and see the Sun rise and the Fog lift out of the gorgeous Mountain View I have from my window. The clean smell of the Mountain air after a fresh snowfall, the smell of the flowers from the Rosie Sharon in the spring. The beautiful bloom of the rhododendrons .The people of this town are blessed to be part of this. With no cost at all just a little of your time to stop and enjoy it. So the next time you are feeling blue because you can’t afford to take that trip to somewhere else. Stop and take the time to look around and enjoy the gift that West Virginia gives us everyday of our lives.
